A previous red image was quite popular on Facebook though I thought it lacked depth. I have produced a revised red image that looks a bit like something seen through a plastic sweet wrapper. But, at least it appears to have some depth. It will be interesting to see the reactions when it is put on display.
Purple. The Royal Colour. I am working on production of a purple version of the image and have noticed, for some reason, that the sense of a faded glory seems to be the most appealing to me.
I like this quotation but I guess that, taken out of context, it may be misleading to the extent that it applies the specific (Jesus speaking to the Apostles) to the general (a world-view). Nevertheless, the idea of a universal love of mankind amongst mankind seems a worthy proposition.
The idea in this image is to try out a patterning of canvas as an underlay on the image. The effect is to flatten the image, it dilutes the multi-layering that had added depth in previous versions.
