The notion of the Shroud offers a resonant concept; namely, that a Face image might be embedded in a cloth. And I would have factored the shroud image into my considerations around how to present an image. However, the actual shroud image appears to offer a face that is older than the vision of Christ that I wished to produce. So, I did not make any conscious attempt to model the shroud closely or to overlay the shroud  image during the making of my images.

It is, therefore, surprising to see that there is a closeness of fit between my image and the shroud image.
